ELA & Art
Small papers for each student and a pencil.
Students will divide their paper into thirds and label the corners of each box (1,2,3). In box 1, students drew a recognizable character from their imagination (ie. astronaut, teacher, scientist). Students then passed their papers clockwise around the room or their desk pods. In the second box on the passed paper, students will write an action verb in any tense they chose. Pass clockwise to a third student. In the third box, students formed a grammatically correct sentence using the character and the action verb above.
To expand the Arts Integration, have the paper passed to a fourth student, who will draw a picture on the back of the sheet of the sentence created in box 3.
