*Pair Lesson Plans | Fox and SCES, Year One*

**PAIR Activities:** PIRATE SHIP, BIPPITY BIPPITY BOP

**Learning Objective/Exit Outcomes:**

- Students will be able to identify and differentiate lines, line segments, rays and angles through visual/physical representations.

**Integration Area/Subject:** Math

**State Standards:**

MGSE4.G.1 Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.

**Materials/Playing Space:**

Outside space adjacent to classroom

**Description:**

Students will utilize two different games: Pirate Ship and another, Bippity Bippity Bop to visually show the difference between a line, line segment, rays and angles.

In Pirate Ship, the teacher/specialist will change the commands to match the subject. For this lesson, I used the terms right, acute and obtuse angles. When these commands were said, the students would have to use their arms to create each angle. If an angle wasn’t correct, that student was out and became a shark. The rest of the game was played as written.
