As educators sometimes you feel as if things are introduced just to add more work to your already heavy workload, but the PAIR Program isn’t that at all. The PAIR Program works for you and with you. It’s not a program that tells you what they want from you, but a program that asks what they can do for you!
– 4th Grade Teacher, Certified PAIR Educator
The PAIR Program supports teachers by equipping them with tools to diversify their instructional planning and supports them through instructional teaching. Although the PAIR Program is a non-evaluative program, we measure teacher aptitude and success using preexisting evaluative tools.
Teachers who participate in the PAIR Program complete a Self-Efficacy Scale in which they rate themselves on their ability to respond to different classroom challenges.
Over the past four years, teachers have shown the most growth in the following categories: Motivating Low Interest Students, Establishing a Classroom Management System, and Provide Alternative Explanations. Other significant growth was shown in: Using a Variety of Assessment Strategies and Crafting Good Questions.
We also measure teacher growth through their TKES Scores. TKES (Teacher Keys Effectiveness System) evaluates teacher performance on a 4 point scale and is designed for building teacher effectiveness and ensuring consistency and comparability throughout the state (GA).
PAIR Teachers have shown significant growth in TKES Standards 2- Instructional Planning, 3- Instructional Strategies, and 8- Academically Challenging Environment.
