“The students are using collaborative conversations and helping each other more in class. Things are less competitive among the students when I am using PAIR strategies.”– 3rd Grade Teacher
The PAIR Program measures student achievement with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
For Georgia students, the PAIR Program measures student engagement via the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS). For the past several years, PAIR has tracked students moving from the Beginning Learner level of achievement to the Developing Learner level of achievement, with the ultimate goal of decreasing Beginning Learners by 3%.
In working with the Muscogee County School District, the PAIR Program has focused specifically on literacy and has taken Writing Sample data from students in both Fall and Spring Semester. The chart below shows the growth of each student with the development of Ideas and Organization.
